Local Roots

David began school at Briarcliff Elementary in Magnolia, and
family-outside
continued on through the University of Washington, University of Southern California and The Evergreen State College. He studied International Relations and Cognitive Science, and holds both a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science.

In addition to Seattle, he’s lived in Los Angeles and San Francisco, and spent significant time in Buenos Aires during the economic collapse of Argentina, when the third largest middle class in the western hemisphere was wiped out in a matter of months. That experience showed him just how fragile the middle class is, and guides his interest in revitalizing our local economy and providing economic opportunity to all Seattleites.

He returned home to Seattle in March of 2003. He and his partner Mike are raising their kids, Anthony and Anya, in West Seattle's green-built High Point Neighborhood.
